Sue McCormick
was born in NY in 1966. She relocated to East Tennessee with her family at the age of six and then again to Richmond, VA after high school where she resides today. Sue is a single mother of two daughters, ages 19 and 21. In 1983, Sue began her career in the relocation industry. Sue worked her way through hotel management having experience in almost every capacity from front office management, night auditing, reservation management, HR, accounting, food service, concierge and sales management. That experience prepared her for the challenges of the temporary housing industry as she joined Summit Properties as Director of Marketing in 1992. With Sue at the reins, the program blossomed. The owner of a ExecuStay contacted Sue in 1995, offering her the opportunity to open their new office in Richmond. Sue helped negotiate the sale of Summit Properties Corporate Housing to ExecuStay in 1992 and her career with ExecuStay began. As VP of the Richmond Office, Sue generated over 4.5million/per year in sales by 1997.

Sue was instrumental in the due diligence and sale of ExecuStay to Marriott in 1998. As a single parent, Sue realized how important flexibility was necessary to accommodate her daughters’ hectic schedules. After careful consideration, in 1999 Sue ventured out on her own to create Suite for You Corporate Housing. She and her dedicated team celebrated 11 successful years in August of 2010.  Suite for You is a 100% woman owned, Certified Virginia Woman Business Enterprise.  Sue received her real estate certificate in March 2009 and is now a Realtor with Keller Williams.  Sue has served her community is many capacities.  She was an active Rotarian, a board member for the Chesterfield Public Education Foundation, committee member for the ARC Ladybug Foundation, and Membership and Sponsorship Chair for the Greater Richmond Relocation Council. Sue has been an active member of the ERC, VASHRM and SHRM, NAWBO and the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce. Sue enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, boating, skiing and plans to learn to surf.
